The Texas Quarter Horse Association (TQHA) Barrel Stallion Program promotes stallion owners, breeders & competitors in Texas. Participation in the 2021 TQHA Barrel Stallion Program is open to owners of American Quarter Horse stallion owners.
Stallion Offspring & the Stallion Owner are eligible for incentive money
USE OF FUNDS FROM 2021 BARREL STALLION SERVICE PROGRAM
The proceeds of the Stallion Service Auction will be used for 2021 events that will promote the STALLION and give incentive money to stallion offspring and the stallion owner in the 2021 event incentives. *2021 Event list is in the works.
If a stallion is not enrolled in the TQHA Stallion Auction the year of the event incentives, offspring from drop out stallions will be eligible for TQHA stallion incentives IF the offspring was conceived the year the stallion was enrolled in the TQHA Barrel Stallion Auction. (the year prior to foal date year). These offspring must pay an enrollment fee of $150 for the year, plus event entry fee to run in the incentives.
No breeding money will be paid out to the stallion.
There is no Nomination Fee for offspring of currently enrolled stallions.
*Offspring enrollment fee must be paid to TQHA prior to incentive event.

1. Simple – If the stud is paid in for that year, the colts are all eligible to win incentive money. In most of the bigger stallion incentives, even if the stud is paid in full to the programs, all the colts have to be paid in as well or they are not eligible. Paying the colts in later in life is also very expensive.
Our program gives the stallion owners a guarantee, if their stud is paid in, the barrel horse owner pays the required entry fee for incentive race for eligibility.
2. Pay stud owners back more – Percentage wise our program rewards the stud owners with a greater payback than most incentives for their help with the program.
3. Sell colts – All sire incentives help people who have bred to studs sell colts to the people competing on them.
